ok. my really hetic/ eventful two weeks are over.
okay... i had chinese oral, listening, track and field competition and piano exam all around the same time. and yes. the very fact that i am still here typing means that i have survived.
cant really remember much but anyways,
here goes.
1500m was kind of fun. left sch at about 12 and scared the taxi driver by dashing out of sch. then discovered i was scammed the day before cos the taxi driver took a much longer. like the fare difference is about $3... anyways, singaopore sports sch is really pro. they broke like dunno how many records? i think some of the sprinters competiting are really fierce. the way they prepeare before a sprint is like they are damn professional and serious. much different from our school anyway. my own event was kind of interesting. the other competitors seemed more relaxed than the sprinters. like just before the race, they went around saying hi and trying to get to know everybody instead. one thing that really amazes me is that the call room smells of tiger balm and deep heat rub. like i didnt really understand why some ppl were rubbing these stuff onto their legs even before the race? and its like not just a thin flim, but loads of it. maybe its to help warm up. but tiger blam? ok.... then i got pwnt by everybody else cos i was too slow. T.T. maybe i started too fast. like i completed my first round which is 3/4 round, in 1min. haha. but everyone was really friendly and we all went around congratulating each other after that.
to see how badly i got pwnt, click here. http://www.singaporeathletics.com/results do note that some relay teams from our sch managed to get into semi finals. do check out their timings as well. YAY.
yay.
then came piano exam. its all their falut. their is not specified at all.
so i didnt go to sch in the morning. then i went to the really horrible exam centre at ang mo kio where the air con broke down. well, that was really good news at first. at least i wont freeze to death inside. then the lady at the registration counter siad that the examiner was very unhappy cos he was gonna die in sunny singapore and sat infront of the fan every time there was a break( do note that this has been highly paraphrased and edited by me) so in order not to suan the examiner, i decided to go in without my jacket. then amazingly, the air con turned on. yes. not just that. AT FULL BLAST. by the way, the piano was just under the air con vent. oh goody. the examiner was very happy. i was not. i was going to freeze after all. and my jacket was outside.... i tried the piano out. it seemed fine. ok... now keep calm and play. scales were fine, except i tripped over my fingers for one. phew. then came pieces. first piece okay, 2nd piece my hands were starting to freeze. lost some control over expression. dang... then the 3rd piece was a disaster. apparently the piano decided to die some how so nomatter how hard i pressed for my left ahnd keys it just refused to work. i got very distracted indeed and then totally screwed up my last two lines. im gonna fail... so depressing. well, then for the aural singing part, the examiner kept looking suspiscioulsy at me for some werid reason. ok, i couldnt really hear the bass anyway cos the evil examiner decided to play it a third apart. (cries) then for the last component , i was given either a baroque or classical piece. i guess it was baroque anyway cos it had many trills etc. didnt expect the examiner to ask me which composer could have possibly composed it . baroque... hmm.... sheesh i didnt prepare for this question. uh... vivaldi. no. hes a violin composer dumb. vivaldi vivaldi vivaldi vivaldi vivaldi vivaldi vivaldi vivaldi vivaldi .... dunno why i couldnt stop thinking of that... Mozart? no. haydn? no. debussy? no. wait think think think.... vivaldi vivaldi vivaldi vivaldi vivaldi vivaldi vivaldi vivaldi gah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! "uhh.... J.S Bach." and aural was complete. i think i failed. so much for wanting distinction...
lalala.
the rest of the week went past quite fast. listening compre was okay, tired tapping in to the a level one then gave up. and kyle stuck my pencil into the water bath during chem. downright weird. won the racial harmony debate for no reason.
last exciting event for the month. chem test.... no lah. X country. k not exactly in july, but coming soon. jy to everybody. fibo pwns.
yayayayay.
