If I die young

found an interesting song on youtube. sometimes, like now, when i am bored, i do wonder too who would even care, what i have accomplished and how i would like my funeral to be like.

well, for me, i guess my accomplishments come pretty much to nothing in terms of results, accademics and stuff. what good will these do for me after i die? perhaps make my eulogy look better? i dont see much of a point since there are so many more accomplished people than me out there in this world. well, certainly i do not mean going against my motto of putting my 100% in everything i do, but my self worth is not based on such things. for me, i am a child of God, no matter how much i have been failing and sinning throughout my life. I guess, thats my greatest bragging right since i know God will welcome me into His kingdom no matter what, for salvation is not a matter of works but really a grace given by God, so long as we accept Him as Christ and saviour in our lives.

as for who would care, i do admit i did go through a stage where i thought absolutely no one would care or even bother if i died. but now as i examine my life, i realise there are people who would. i guess, my family, close friends and my cell would be sad. other than that, not many would be bothered i supposed, which would be perfectly normal since they probably wont know me anyway. funny how i only realised that there are people who care after my absence of two weeks at IGGY. not that i actually ceased to exist for two weeks, but two weeks being away from my usual social circles allowed me to reexamine my relationships with the people around me, making me realise many things and know the people who actually care vs those who make use of me under the guise of friends.

haha :P lastly, i want my funeral to be really happy. no jokes or scarsm here like thank god that irritance is gone therefore everyone should be happy thing. for me, death is simply another journey where i move on to something even better than before, in God's kingdom. so my funeral should be a celebration. i want a rock band playing all my favourite songs and i guess, lots of good food and drinks. if i have the chance, i would also write encouragement letters to all the people who were close to me. and yeah, i wont mind letting my ashes be scattered across the sea since i dont really want to take up too much space on earth rotting even more as ashes instead.

well, death for me shouldnt be a taboo topic that should be swept under the carpet since i know the promises that God has given me. as for now, i will do my best to live this life he has given me so that when i die God can say to me, 'well done, good and faithful servant.' i know i will fail along the way as i already have countless times throughout my life so far. but i will keep trying for God's glory. :)
