thankfully we are not cats.
Today was so cool. Other than RGS who gets their campus evacuated often by police to guard shangrila how often do schools get mass evacuation like this?
at 2, we were all ordered to assemble in the hall without any reason given. it seemed that there was utter confusion, with no one knowing exactly knowing what was going on.
miss kong said a monster was attacking our school.
someone said it was Dr hang's birthday
others said someone commited suicide or had to undergo public caning
maybe its a bomb...
whatever it was, the school was obviously not on fire nor in any apparent danger YET. they were taking a long time to assemble everybody, esp from hostel.
apparently, the construction site near our school was found to contain a war relic, I.e a bomb from world war 2. so we all had to evacuate. see, i was right. it was a bomb. well, some people joked that it could have just been our time capsule that they unearthed and mistook it as a bomb. that would have been extremely dumb. luckily, our time capsule is on campus grounds and not outside.
so we all had to leave from the back gate and walk all around school again, passing the construction site where the relic was found. dumb right? i could have been blown to pieces there. okok. morbid thought. we were told not the sms in order that news would not spread, drawing large crowds and unnecessary panic that terrorists planted the bomb there. well, but now its gone so i suppose i can blog about it now. journey home was pretty dumb, i shall not blog about it.
oh yes, according to the news at 10, the bomb was over a meter long, and was found during piling work. the police detonated it at 5.30pm which was like 2.5 hours after we left school. the bomb was large, but thankfully the explosion was pretty small. otherwise, we might be seeing nanhua in pieces tomorrow. maybe the bomb had degraded over time, so its not as explosive as meant to be. just pretty loud, but no damage was incurred during the detonation.
noooooo! they have to find more bombs. i dont want school tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! waaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! on the bright side, i missed econs today. however there will most likely be make up class very soon.
