meow

how i feel about common tests. ok not really. but the cat is cute. back to my point, seriously, common tests after holidays make holidays absolutely no rest and make tests feel like exams.sadly i think i was careless in quite a few of them, espescially physics and bio. and its not like the tests were tough or anything. i feel like smacking my self over math because i made a really careless mistake that caused me 2 marks. otherwise, i would have scored full for math. shouldnt really complain though, i still managed to get a good mark. chem test was scary. i think i did something wrong. miss kong kept staring over my shoulder throughout chem test and reminding me that i had 15 s left to complete the paper. :D

more importantly, THANK GOD FOR SUSTAINING US THROUGH ALL THE TESTS!!! i will have never done it if i didnt believe God would be there for me.

this week was crazt but its double happiness for me. other than surviving through all the tests, i have survived x country. heres what MR Foo commented

Dear all,

Congratulation to all who had participated!
Some of you have clocked very good timing.

NUS High Team has moved up the National Cross Country ranking list this year in spite of knowing that our strength is in sprint and middle distance events.

Keep it up for all the effort and time put in!

Yours sincerely,

Derrick Foo

well, he did say i improved. but today, he told me that my timing was off and that i should be running 18 min ++. I.E multiply my 1500 timing (PB 6.40 at the moment) by 3 and estimate. i feel sad. :)

running x country was fun though. its another miracle as well. i was sick for the past three days and thus was wearing my jacket everywhere. I couldnt breathe during warmup and felt like fainting. you would expect that i will die running 4.2 km then right? however, i really wanted to run, otherwise missing chem test would be a waste. I prayed. the results show for themselves. maybe its not my best, but it is still satisfactory.

apparently there are supposed to be different packs of runners pacing each other. like the eilte pack compromising of the top 20 VJC, the raffles group, SSS etc. then the random people who are average group and the laggards group. but all i saw was a whole colourful line of girls and got very confused. CEDAR GIRLS WORE PINK! whaahahahahaha. its weird, but really cool. bright pink jerseys. seemingly better than my lime green shorts. so i spotted compassvale (did i spell it correctly?) that was kindly wearing exactly the same jersey and tried to blend in and not look like the poor lost nerd i did when in year 2. ended up following a number of pacers after that and finally gave up following one at the 3km mark. scared some random person who was walking after that by going behind her and saying DONT GIVE UP!. the girl got a shock and started running again while i over took her. i thought that was fun, which explains my gay 2.4 run today because i really felt like irritating people. ok fine. that was stupid. Girls route was a round about one which was pretty flat, save for a gentle slope. i now strongly believe bedok resivior is a place for potential wannabe zebras. the foilage is not as lush and nice as maritchie. thus half my body was getting scorched under the sun while the other half was shaded. so finally reached back to temasek poly which was the end point. still running at the same pace and not bothering to sprint because there was nobody infront of me. then cheryl lin suddenly came out of nowhere. so i ended up sprinting the last 50+ meters with her. dang. and i lost by 0.15s. still quite happy anyway.

now you might be wondering. how come i was running alone? where were the rest of my team mates? to tell you honestly, i had the trauma of being pushed to the front again as the supposed best runner. in yr2 when i went with track for x country at turf city, i was pushed to the front. watching people zoom past me, seeing them fall and and getting stepped over by even more people was very scary indeed. wow. and they had to do it again on wed. but this time i was smarter. i ignored everyone and ran at the start. only thing was, i forgot to turn on my timing because i was too scared. when i looked back to see where the rest were, i saw no one familar, so i ran all by myself. yay, but i still completed the race sucessfully anyway.

thankyou Jesus. i could have never done it without you.

and thankyou to you for reading through this long post. if you would like to prove that you still read my blog, please tag. the tag board is dying. i dont wanna post to
myself...
